after the phantom update, AIs meeple can go over limit somehow even without purchasing the phantom expansion.

Carcassonne is a fantastic game! The online version is very well done. However, it would be great if we were able to play online against multiple random opponents. Right now, you are limited to a single random opponent, and a 2-person game just isnt as much fun as a 3 or 4 person game. If you want to play a multiplayer game, you can only do so with friends at the moment. Also, there needs to be a way to report players that leave offensive and explicit messages, whereby after getting reported more than 5 times by different players, they are automatically removed/blocked from the app. There are some nasty people playing this game...

Perfect app, renders the game perfectly. Beautiful HD, only one purchase for iPhone and iPad is great. My favorite boardgame app on iOS.

The best board game experience on iOS. Very well polished and designed. If you like carcassone, this is a no brainer!

Wish there was a re-challenge button at the end of the game... Like Scrabble.... Over the Internet, I tend to play the same group of people often....

Its not a bad app, but purchasing this app is providing financial support to the abusive CEO of CodingMonkeys, Martin Pittenauer who thinks its "fun" to insult customers.

Winter is a lovingly crafted tile set, made with the same care thats gone into their previous expansions. If you dont have Carcassonne yet, I can only imagine its your first day with an iPhone. (So, get it already!)

Bought it, tried it, removed it. Why are some tiles green and others white? Doesnt work on the iPad. The board looks like a checkerboard and becomes very confusing. The white background is glaring. Hard to distinguish the roads.

Ive _never_ written an app review before but this recent update compelled me to write one. I love this game, been playing it for years and Im a bit of a speed player. So.. My issue is this: what the hell happened to the quick "points scored" animation? (how the point value goes large and the fades away when scoring) Seriously!! My games have gotten 30% longer because the point animations are incredibly slow. they use to be super quick prior to this update. For someone who can burn through a game of carc in minutes, its really frustrating. Also, the most recent update erased all my elo... And I even got the "tutorial" handed to me. WTH??

This is simply the most polished online board game on the App Store. Every developer of board games needs to just copy what theyve done here. Please give us the option to turn off the white table on the new expansion. It hurts the eyes playing on the iPad.

Carcassonne is one of the slickest, smoothest games in the App Store, but unfortunately the latest update introduced some bugs. 1. The Tiles Remaining count is incorrect. The game still ends when this counter hits zero, which means not all tiles get played in the game. This is when playing with the new gingerbread man expansion. 2. Switching between active online games is painfully slow. The switching time has increased nearly tenfold. And while not a bug, playing with white tiles on an off-white background is hard on the eyes. Both should be changed to different colours.

Better than the physical version (no counting!) at a fraction of the cost. Cheap and regular expansions. Looks and plays great, whats not to like?

I love this game and all expansions, but the latest update seems to have introduced a serious problem with stability. It crashes one time in every game I play.

I always seem to gain hardly anything from fields, even though the AI gets a bunch of points. Actually, there are more times where my fields get nothing. Were it not for that, the game would get five stars. Fix it.

It wont let me buy any IAPs. Once I press buy button nothing happens.

Would love to have the count king and robbers pack, with the option to select individual ones!

This game is so well done! I was a little hesitant to buy it as Ive never played the game before but its now become one of my most favourite apps of all time! Well worth the money and I highly recommend it!

I still bought the app even though I already owned the physical Board Games. I really like the clean and neat looking interface. One suggestion, it would be great to have the player profiles at the bottom to change positions based on point ranking as the game progresses.

This game is so fun! And the extra expansions really add to the game dimensions. About 90% of the times that I play, the game crashes and closes down. Its super annoying and is a turn off for playing the game.
